THE CALIFORNIA REGIONAL PROGRESS REPORT (2007)
The California Progress Report combines, for the first time in one document, objective information about California’s economic, environmental, and social progress, while also identifying the distinct challenges facing the State’s diverse regions. The Report reflects the diversity of the State, identifying regional similarities that will influence state priorities and regional differences that will shape the design and implementation of state policy.

A nationally recognized publication, The Index of Silicon Valley measures economic strength and the health of the community, highlighting challenges and providing an analytical foundation for leadership and decision making.
SAN MATEO COUNTY VISION (2007)
This "re-visioning" process revisits and revises the current 2010 vision, commitment, goals and measures; identifies strategic action priorities; and designs a process to charter one or more teams of public, private and civic leaders to create "civic breakthrough compacts."
Long Island

The Long Island Index measures current status and regional trends over time, offers comparisons with other regions, and increases awareness of issues and an understanding of their interrelatedness in the Long Island region.
San Benito
VISION SAN BENITO: Cultivating the San Benito Spirit (2005)
Working directly with a leadership group of 30 people drawn from different sectors and areas of the County, Vision San Benito focused on analyzing and describing the transformation of San Benito County, gleaning insights from other “best practice” vision efforts across the country. With this context, the effort then focused on articulating a vision for San Benito County, developing specific goals, choosing progress measures, and deciding on a strategy for promoting and implementing the vision.

GRASSROOTS LEADERS FOR A NEW ECONOMY (1997)
Grassroots Leaders is about a new type of community led by a new type of leader. Economic communities are places that collaborate to compete globally. Civic entrepreneurs are a new generation of leaders who forge new, powerfully productive linkages at the intersection of business, government, education, and community. Grassroots Leaders is the story of people building vital, resilient economic communities in turbulent times. It is the story of what they have to teach us as we struggle to rebuild our civil society.
